Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Dress!
I received a phonecall from a very creative woman who wanted a special dress made for her to wear to this year's Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix held at beautiful Shenley Park. My client mentioned her son's old bed sheet with vintage cars on it that she was hoping to upcycle into a fabulous new dress! She also brought an old dress that she loved to use as inspiration for the silhouette. This was a great project, I had a blast figuring out how to cut each panel of the bodice and skirt to show off the cars in the best way. The bodice of the dress is lined and there is an invisible zipper at the side seam. Another great feature to the dress is the popular slanted hem that is longer in the back adding to the playfulness of the design. Enjoy!
